Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Prepare for testing
   • Safety issues and Work, Health and Safety (WHS)/Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations are identified, in accordance with workplace procedures
   • Operational test requirements are identified, in accordance with workplace procedures
   • Operational test procedures are determined and monitoring equipment requirements are identified, in accordance with workplace procedures and testing objectives
   • Access to power generating plant is determined, in accordance with workplace procedures
2. Complete work
   • Appropriate personnel are notified of completion of testing, in accordance with workplace procedures
   • Power generating plant problems or abnormalities are reported, in accordance with workplace procedures
   • Operational test results are interpreted and documented, in accordance with workplace procedures
   • Safety issues and Work, Health and Safety (WHS)/Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations are identified, in accordance with workplace procedures
3. Operational test requirements are identified, in accordance with workplace procedures
4. Operational test procedures are determined and monitoring equipment requirements are identified, in accordance with workplace procedures and testing objectives
5. Access to power generating plant is determined, in accordance with workplace procedures
6. Perform non-routine testing
   • Operational testing is performed, in accordance with workplace procedures, industry standards and code of practice
7. Isolations are confirmed, where appropriate, in accordance with workplace procedures
8. Power generating plant is observed and corrective action is taken, in accordance with workplace procedures, when response does not meet with operating parameters, plant integrity or personnel safety
9. Operational testing is completed and power generating plant is returned to required operational status, in accordance with workplace procedures
   • Appropriate personnel are notified of completion of testing, in accordance with workplace procedures
10. Power generating plant problems or abnormalities are reported, in accordance with workplace procedures
11. Operational test results are interpreted and documented, in accordance with workplace procedures
